One shape reaching toward another. Valence borrows its name from chemistry, arranging five brass domes into a branching composition of curves, lines, and open space.

Slender hammered stems extend from the central form, giving the silhouette a graphic rhythm. The linked construction allows a smooth, easy swing, following every turn of the head.

Hand-formed and hollow, the domes bring volume with lightness. The brushed brass holds a soft glow, its subtle irregularities carrying traces of the making. A small sculpture at the ear, with a presence that carries across a room.
